TCP: Blockbuster Movies

Dear TCP addicts like me,

Oh my, what a difficult category.

So what runs in my mind when I hear Blockbuster Movies is those in the league of Harry Potter and Lord of the Ring.

But then, I keep trying to recall that in my entries for TCP, I seem to have forgotten all about 1 movie which struck a chord deep into immortal soul. (Isn't that a dead giveaway?)

So without further ado,

my pick for blockbuster movies is:

Image credit goes to Deviant Artist: AuroraInk.

I think it's a great blockbuster movie, in the sense that it is something I shared with my niece. That moms like me could relate to it. That the movie made me reminisce all the feelings of falling in love. It's just amazing how I heard about it on the news, people camping out just to catch the premiere. People calling themselves Twihard. Simply put, the books combined with the movie is just a great experience. You see the words come to life, enacted by actors. I think the amazing thing about the books and the movies is that they have all the necessary elements for everyone, action sequences and motorcycles and car talk for the guys. The romance, butterflies in the stomach, and cheesy lines for the girls.

What's your blockbuster movie?

Letters That I'll Never Send: To the Resolutions Collector

Dear,

I start the year late. I did not begin it on the first. My year started on the 4th of January, when my kids felt better and I've finally started to clean the closet that I neglected last year. It has never been a habit of mine to write resolutions except those times when I had to do it in high school. Even if I started the year late, I feel a whole lot better. So far, in a matter of a few days, I think I have done more things I wanted to do, now, more than ever. Maybe it helped that hubby and I plus the kids got new hair cuts. It really feels like a fresh start.

So, new year resolutions collector: Are you ready to collect?

  • I hereby resolve to love myself too, get that color back to my hair, go on a little diet for someone's wedding, and learn some stuff that I think will enrich my life.
  • I hereby resolve to be ready for the next holiday season. (I was broke last year hopefully not this year)
  • I hereby resolve to do what I love doing most, writing and earning money.
Writing gives me an outlet, selling gives me the interaction that I need. The satisfaction of giving joy to someone else.
  • This year: all of us are going to school. Maegan, Paul, Daddy for work and Mommy to learn (well, I can hope right?)
  • Projects for this year: Crafting, Learning to formulate perfumes or Cooking.
  • To blog more and be a better host to this meme.
That's all for now. More details on next week's letter I think.
If you're joining, just leave your link below.

Dear

As always, here I am again, inviting you to join Letters That I'll Never Send.

So come and join.

First topic to welcome the New Year is addressed to the New Year Resolutions collector!

Have fun and enjoy.

The New Year

Dear

Welcome back! Did you miss me? I sure missed you a lot. I had a lot of things done on my blogging break and made tremendous discoveries about myself and my goals. This year, I am planning on doing a lot of things for this blog and doing things I love to do. I also intend to learn more about things I have interests in. This year is not my year... I am giving this year to bestfriend and twin, for her dreams and goals. My dreams are long term and begins with little steps. Hopefully, by 2012, my dreams for my self is something I can reach.

How did you spend your holiday season? I hope you were with your loved ones and that nothing untoward happened to you as you celebrated the New Year. As for me, my kids got sick but luckily they are now well on their road to recovery.

My kids met their cousins from New York for the first time. It went well, my kids were able to understand what their 6-year old cousin was saying. A different story though for the sick 1-year old cousin they were tailing around. My kids weren't sick while the cousins were here. They got sick as soon as they left. Oh well. Chalk it up to learning that I can't keep my kids away from a baby. My kids were just too curious.

Thankfully, my kids aren't asking for a baby. This photo was taken on Christmas day in the living room of my mom's house. Oh how my kids cried when their cousins left. That's all I can tell you right now. The real world is calling (Maegan and Paul).

Till next time, thanks for hanging around. I'll write to you soon. I'm pretty sure there are contests coming to welcome the new year. Plus, hopefully, more letters that I'll never send will be written.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Preparations for the arrival of our guests, the coming 2nd birthday of my son, and of course the upcoming Christmas festivities are what's keeping me super busy. I barely have enough time to blog, but somehow I am able to find the time to log-in to my facebook account. It's really funny.

I got to chat at my facebook wall with one of my friends and mentors and we got to discussions of memory lane, depression and plans.

It got me thinking.

This year's Christmas is my first time low ever.

Low in the sense that I don't have the moolah to splurge on people I love.
By saying people I love, that actually consists of me first then my kids and then my hubby then all my relatives who will wish us a merry christmas.

So far, I think this is the first Christmas where I am not prepared.

Unprepared and under stress.

I have now decided to resume some of the things I did best or at least made me feel better.

I have also planned to think of and make a business plan for the next year.

So, not blogging and yet interacting with people in fb got me thinking and gave me a great idea.

But I'm not giving up on blogging. Thankfully, through blogging I think I got my hubby a christmas present he'll like.

How do you spend your holidays?
