My Favorite Post on Dress Up Your Blogs

*This is an entry for Thirty on 30 Blog Contest*

My Favorite Post on Dress Up Your Blogs

I am a big fan of blog designers. If you have been reading my blogs for a long time, you know that I'm a sucker for blog makeovers, designers, I even compile my own list of favorite sites that offer both free and paid templates in blogging. Much to my surprise and happiness, I discovered a new designer offering affordable premade templates, well, I am still hoping to win in the various contests I've joined in so I can finally afford that blog template I've been dreaming of.

I've been rambling and I haven't even told you what my favorite post is all about. My favorite post is about the tips in creating and designing your blog by the author Grace of Dress up your Blogs. I love that the piece was informative and that it was enumerated. Each tip was explained and expanded nicely to make the reader understand even more. The sweetest part is the author even offered her help in case you didn't understand or encountered any difficulties with regards to her tips. That is both gracious, kind and informative which certainly puts her high in my books. I found out from my experience in inquiring about her services that she is indeed easy to contact and a noted digital scrapbook artist/designer as well.

Favorite Post on: Fat Girl No More

My Favorite Post on: Fat Girl No More

Blog Contests are great in helping me discover new blogs worth reading. I found Fat Girl No More as a blog that is truly inspiring. I am a fat girl too, and seeing someone battle the bulge and win is such an inspirational and a motivational blog. My favorite post is when the photos did the talking on how she became Fat Girl No More

The entry is moving, convincing, motivational and inspiring. I rarely post my photos since I am fat, but having seen what being motivated, inspired and goal-oriented one can be has made me realize that maybe I can do that too for my cousin who is getting married. It is never too late and the blog has shown me that if you have the will power, anything and everything is possible.

              What's your favorite post?

My Favorite Post on Just About Anything

*My Favorite Post on Just About Anything: an entry for Thirty on 30 Blog Contest*

Kikamz has a lot of blogs but my favorite is Just About Anything, where the topics are indeed Just About Anything! I am a constant visitor to the site and though I have not been very active in her meme nowadays, I still find some time to blog hop and her sites are on my list of must reads.

My favorite post among her recent ones is Girl Talk: My All Time Favorite. It is her entry to a meme and in this post she describes her favorite book of all time. I am a booklover myself but still I haven't read this book or any work of this particular author. Her description entices me to read it as she find the book inspiring and quotable.

I love having new discoveries and knowing her taste, if she says this book is good, then it really must be good. I can't wait to have my hands on a copy of the book.

Blog Review: Make Money Online

*This is a blog review entry for Simply the Best Birthday Gift blog contest*

For a blog with a niche of making money online, I look for organized categories. This blog has it. Just looking at the sidebar tells you in what ways is it possible to make money online. I have developed expectations, trepidation and criteria for blogs that either want to show you how to make money online.
I think the major, major thing that blogs under these niche need would be credibility. They develop credibility by posting every little and big payment they receive from the sites they've joined in to.

I like the fact that this blog offers a very wide range, not only about pay per click, but even affiliate marketing, articles, and paid post. The site also offers a variety of entertainment posts, blogging contests around the web, and even blogging tips.

I like it that there's a link to scam sites which you should stay away from. The blog is very much updated to what is happening in the world of pay per click so you know you are getting relevant news. My suggestion is if you would like to earn money online, it is a wise decision to click and become under this blog's referral because of the honesty and straight forward reports about the blogger's affiliations.

The blog is impressive and influential in its reach. Perfect for the readers who want to know how to go about in making money online. What are you waiting for? Visit Make Money Online today.

Blog Review: Blog de Manila

*This is a blog review for Simply the Best Birthday Gift Blog Contest*

I love the tagline. Helping other people blog smartly. With this as a tagline, it comes up on my list of a must read. I think everyone would want to learn how to blog smartly and in doing so, improve their page rankings, get more visitors, more subscribers and at least more interaction with their blog posts.

Skimming through some of the articles, they truly deliver on their tagline. The writing is easy to follow and very interesting. If you are a newbie, a pro, or someone who just wants to start a blog then I say the blog is perfect for you.It caters to anyone in whatever niche your blog is in and it truly provides a great insight into this addicting world of blogging.

Some posts you shouldn't miss would be the 3 tips to make your site google friendly. I'm pretty sure I got your attention now. The site provides a lot of important information for the blogger that we are. The blog design is streamlined and pleasant to the eye. There is absolutely nothing that can stop you from visiting this site. I believe it will be to your advantage if you subscribe to the blog. Go ahead. I know you want to.

Blog Review: Pinay Mom

*This is a blog review for Simply the Best Birthday Gift blog contest*

Pinay Mom redefined would be the Filipina Mom. It is a beautiful site. The header entices you to visit the Philippine Islands I bet. Her topics range from beauty, entertainment, children, celebrities both international and local, and so much more.

The blog is organized beautifully. All you need is to browse the sidebar for the topic of your choice. Whether you want to read about marriage, promos and contests, Children, Charice Pempengco, or anything else, all you have to do is see the labels section or the categories.

From interesting blog hops to interesting write ups it is a blog worth paying attention to. I am in awe because it is the first time I've heard of it, that a Filipina could become a princess in the U.K., if that caught your attention then well, go ahead this blog is truly worth a visit.

I recommend this blog for easy to medium reading and is definitely worth the time with the many and varied topics listed on the blog. The easy going writing style is also a plus factor.

Blog Review: Stay at Home Blessings

*This is a blog review for Simply the Best Birthday Gift blog contest*

If it's parenting advice, you've come to the right place. Stay at Home Blessings is a blog of a stay at home Mom to 5 kids. Read that? 5 Kids, as in F...I...V...E.. and I can barely manage 2. Oh, how I envy families with lots of kids but just having my 2 hyper children is enough to drive me crazy and even more nuts when all of us gets sick at the same time, which happened to her and yet she manages it well and shares that the secret to vomiting kids is to keep them rehydrated.

I have no bad comment since I love her blog template by Gisele Jacquenod. I have been a fan for ages of Gisele. The blog has an impressive page rank - pr 4, which she humbly shares how she got it by joining contests and garnering quality backlinks.

The blog is full of important details about raising a child and what more can you ask for, since I think a Mother of 5, is someone you can honestly call an expert in this thing called parenthood and mothering.

The blog is chock full of information for anyone to enjoy. It isn't for just moms, it is for everyone.

Blog Review: Baul ni Noel

* This is a blog review submitted as a requirement in Simply The Best Birthday Gift Blog Contest*

It is amazing as to what one discovers as they stumble around the blogosphere and discovering contests. Baul ni Noel is one such amazing find. I guess, I am easily impressed as I love artsy designed headers. Baul when translated would mean a treasure chest. Blog design wise, it is unique, takes good advantage of the Simple layout  but then with the modifications it has become truly personalized.

One thing that distracts me though is maybe he can make the posts longer or add the number of posts published on the first page to compensate with the content of the sidebar. I feel that it's lacking in symmetry as  the scroll time takes a bit longer as you try to see what's on the end of the page.

I love that he is a daddy blogger. I've only seen around 2 to 3 around that I read. I can now add this blog as one of the blogs that are both entertaining, positive and likeable because of the topic - his child and other entertainment things.

An added factor for liking this blog, there are tips for all bloggers out there at his sidebar and this blog is also actively engaged in neobux as shown on the big banner.

Whoever you are, a newbie, a mommy blogger, or a daddy blogger, or any blogger who likes to read personal blogs or blogs with personal interests. This one is for you. Click on that puzzle button at his blog. It is truly puzzling.

Blog Review: Events, Contests and Freebies

This blog review is made for the S&S Birthday Blogversary Contest
Being a discriminating contest hunter, I love contests. There are different kinds of giveaways. I am sure you are well aware of that. There are contests that giveaway domains, entrecard credits, adgitize gift certificates/ discount coupons, scrap kits, accessories, and my favorite blog makeovers.
I almost forgot the one that should be on the top of my list, hard, cold, cash and even gadgets.

So let's start the review:

The Blog is Events, Contests and Freebies. I think the Blog's Title is Self-Explanatory and a very well defined niche which gives it a lot of credibility and credit. As expected, the blog exposes where the events are, what contests are currently running and who's giving away something for free. The writing is well defined and enticing, geared to inform and disseminate the information. Contests are up-to-date and very definitive.

The blog layout or template is nice. I actually favor ipietoon's designs too, he's one of the designers who makes free layouts and does really cute graphics. So, the blog will appeal to both contest hunters and non-contesthunters alike.

I love that the blog is very much connected to social sites like facebook, twitter and others. So if you're a fan of the blog you can easily show your support to the author.

Labels are displayed so you will experience no difficulty in navigating the posts and well, you will be charmed by the blogs on her sidebar.

Needless to say, as a freebie/contest/events hunter, this blog is certainly up my alley and is definitely worth the read. I think you'll definitely agree with me. What are you waiting for? Go read some of the latest entries and see if you want to join any of the contests.

My Memories and Crystals: A Review

This is a blog review, an entry for Kaye & Pehpot's Blogversary Contest

Dear Reader,

My Memories and Crystals is a blog with a 3-column layout. The blog has picked green as its main color which is pleasing to the eyes. Both of its sidebars on the right side. It is  a personal blog written by Princess Sarah.

Princess Sarah
A mother of two wonderful smart and active kids. A wife, enjoys singing, playing the piano, and a friend in need...
Most of the entries are written for memes like Yummy Sunday, Skywatch Friday, Wordless Wednesday, and more. A few entries that speak of her passion and is more fitting to her blog's title is that of her entries which are about beading. I think she's a beadmaker, she used rice beads in making earrings and I think she's got talent.

I also found another entry where this time, she showcased her designs for bracelets.
I think it's gorgeous. I've been trying to browse whether she has an online store or what, but so far, I've failed in my search. If you're interested in jewelry, designs and more, or just want to see what meme you can join in on any day, then this blog is for you. Looking at scenic photos or photos with water, then I assure you that this blog will not fail in getting your interest and you staying to take a look.

Bacolod and Beyond: A Review

This is a blog review, an entry for Kaye & Pehpot's Blogversary Contest.

Dear Reader,

Planning to go to Bacolod? Then I found the blog for you. Bacolod and Beyond is just right for you.
Some of the reasons that most people go to Bacolod can be found in the blog. I think one of the main reasons would be the Masskara Festival ( Festival of Masks).
The blog is a 3 column layout with sidebars at the left and right. The header is a shot of a highway, presumably in Bacolod, but I guess, it just tells you that you're on a journey. The blog has a nature feel to it, I guess because of the numerous entries to different memes like Scenic Sunday, Skywatch Friday and Today's Flowers.
Photos are the main ingredient of this blog, and as for added spice, the blogger has also posted videos that make the place more enticing to any traveller. Certainly, it is an appealing blog to those who want to travel, who has been to Bacolod or to someone dreaming of an adventure.
I just wonder who Mom is, there is nothing in her about page that tells me who she is. Just that she loves to showcase Bacolod as a top destination and that she takes great photos. She's also a work at home mom.
The blog is written in a conversational tone and is truly informative.

Azumi: A Blog Review

This is a blog review, an entry for Kaye & Pehpot's Blogversary Contest

Dear Reader,

Welcome to the world of Azumi: Bambie's very beautiful and kawaii princess. The blog has a 3-column layout. It has a very cute header, so kawaii! The family is based in Japan so you get the treat of learning about the places and happenings in a kid's life in Japan.

Get dazzled by the wonderful photos, some with pretty layouts, some sequenced, but all of them are guaranteed done with artful taste. The photos are really expressive and captures many very beautiful moments. I am truly most impressed with the photos. The blog participates in memes that the child Azumi enjoys. There's Mellow Yellow and of course Mommy Chris's Mommy Moments.

I love the stories in the blog, to what the kid enjoys like ice cream. Ice cream just makes me swoon since it's so hot here. I wonder if it's hot in Japan as well.

The blog is a chronicle of Azumi's life, what she enjoys, what she does and what she's up to. Through the memes and the blog's content we get to learn about Azumi: A Kawaii Prinsesa's Story and truly it is something that is worth knowing. If you like kids, want to know how to be a parent and what kids enjoy at different stages in their life, then this blog has definitely something to offer to you.

Fab Momma: A Review

This is a blog review, an entry for Kaye & Pehpot's biggest contest in the blogniverse

Dear Reader,

The blog is written by the very attractive and fabulous or I should rather say fabBIElous Momma to Azumi. The blog is so kawaii (which is cute in japanese). I learned all of this from her blog. The blog has a very cute doily styled header which you can see from the screenshot above. It's so pink and cuddly. Her favicon is a heart which gets her more plus points from me.

The blog has a 3-column layout. Simple, neat, and pink. Most of the entries are of memes which the blogger participates in. Some of the memes she participates in are: Girl Talk, where in her latest entry she revealed her figure both in the tale of the tape and in photos. She also writes an entry for Sunday Stealing, Saturday 9, and Couple's Corner. I find her artistic and articulate. I love her photos. They are very cute and tasteful.

Her footer reveals all the memes she participates in. I love how candid she is that you shouldn't expect sensible posts from this particular blog and refers you instead to her kid's blog. All in all, I think anyone will find the blog interesting and will come back for more as there are a lot of things that she writes about and you might just find yourself getting interested in the memes where she participates.
It doesn't hurt that the blogger's way of writing is conversational and engaging. So, go ahead and meet the fabBIElous Momma.

Mara's Personal Bubble: A Review

This is a Blog Review
for
the biggest contest in the whole blogniverse, hosted by Kaye & Pehpot

Dear Reader,

For this post, I will be reviewing Mara's Personal Bubble. The blog is written by Mara de Guzman, I am assuming this from the blog's link. The blogger has a lot of favorite movies and favorite music based on her profile. Mara's Personal Bubble is the first blog in the review series that I have encountered which has an animated header which literally had me impressed. I've already seen a signature which is animated, which is also impressive and that one was made by Kaye one of the hosts for this blog contest review frenzy.

The blog has 3 columns, one for main posts and 2 sidebars and one widebar which I envy so much. The content is something which I really enjoy reading. You get your fill of music, and videos for that matter. Lyrics are thrown in too as an added bonus. I also love the fact that this blog has book reviews and movie reviews. Seriously, it is a blog that I now have bookmarked and added as one of my favorites.

This blog will hook any book lover, movie goer or someone who just wants to be updated in the world of music, movies and books which I rarely am, so having discovered this blog through the blog contest is a real treat. It has a lot of interesting reads, which surely will keep me and everyone else back for more.

Mara's Appetite: A Review

Dear Reader,

Due to the biggest contest in the blogniverse, I get to encounter this site for the first time. First impression is that it's about food and it certainly hits the spot. The header is cute as it depicts different cliparts of yummy and tasty desserts. Just looking at it is making my tummy growl.  The blog is a 3 column blog which makes it neat and not too long.
The blog is a food blog and a photo blog as well. The posts are almost always filled with photos of food, whatever the blogger had an interest on, to try or a restaurant she visited. Photos are quite good, and the blogger is articulate and engaging in her description of her food adventure.  I say almost always, since there was a photo of water but who am I kidding?
I find the conversational tone of the blogger engaging, did you read that in my second paragraph? Because it's very true. The blogger even has a post of a comparison of eating a burger at Boracay and eating the same burger (menu option) but in Manila and her tastebuds say that there's a difference in taste but she isn't certain.
I am babbling. The truth of the matter is, if you're someone who's interested in food, like me? Scoping out new restaurants to try, just in case you get to visit certain areas. Well, go ahead and park yourself at Mara's Appetite, it will make you hungry for more.

Another Blog Review

This is a blog review for the biggest contest in the blogniverse. Haven't heard of it yet? Click on Kaye & Pehpot's Blogversary Contest button.

Dear Reader,

Jade is at it again. I've lost count as to how many of her blogs are included in the biggest contest ever in the blogniverse. We meet a different Jade in this blog of hers. We meet the Jade at the homefront. I am now just discovering that indeed there are a lot of sides to a person and this time, we meet the Jade who talks about beauty tips, having a simple chitchat with her, and some things about health and her family.

There are pinoy recipes, her concerns about moving to the Philippine Islands, and entries to contests around the web. I enjoyed her recipe about mung beans. That's one recipe that my kids really like, they just love it so much.

The blog is actually simpler in design and deviates from the other styles of her blog.It is a 3-column blog with sidebars at both ends and the main post in the middle. It is a Wordpress hosted blog, and the domain name is a stand out. It just captures the very essence of who, most of us are, me included. The Pinay Blogger. Whether you're looking for something new and interesting to read, or just plain curious. I assure you Jade, The Pinay Blogger will have something that will get you interested.

Advising Writers: A Review

This is a blog review for Kaye & Pehpot's Blogversary Contest
Read my Review. Advising Writers may just be for you

Dear Reader,

The site is a magazine layout style with innumerable tabs. The blog is predominantly white and makes perfect sense since it tries to showcase the articles and works of the writers who signed up with them.

Advising Writers is a content website for online writers and information seekers. Members can publish content and make money through their content by placing ads with their content.
The blog has fresh content and is constantly updated by the members. It has a healthy helpings of poems, I particularly liked a short Goodbye Letter. There are a lot of options to write about, whether your interest or creativity lies in poetry, articles, news articles, videos or shortstories they have it. Even better you can contribute by signing up with them. If you have any or all of the above 'stuff' lying in your blog, closet, journals or other materials. You might even earn more through joining which is a plus for anyone and everyone since we all need extra money on the side.

United World Poets: A Review

This is a review for the biggest contest in the blogniverse. Have you joined?

Dear Reader,

Poetry is a form of literary art in which language is used for its aesthetic and evocative qualities in addition to, or in lieu of, its apparent meaning (source)
The site has a layout of 3 columns with a black header. The header clearly depicts what the goal of the site is. To unite world poets. The site is a social poetry community for poets world wide. From Canada to anywhere in the world, you can find all kinds of poets here. I am amazed at the different categories of poetry and the different groups formed by a poetry. I only ventured into writing a short story once or twice. I didn't publish it here again when I reinvented my blog.

I have a whole lot of respect for poets and poetry. I feel that if you can write them that way and get your point across or evoke some sort of a reaction and connect to your reader, then you did something right. Sometimes, poetry is also just about expression of your feelings, saying it out loud, or writing it for the whole world to see.

Certainly, the blog has a lot to offer to anyone and to everyone. It will certainly pose an appeal to other writers as their outlet and community, to encounter other poets who write in the same genre or of a totally different kind. It will appeal to people who have no talent in poetry whatsoever so that they can have an idea on how to write their own poetry or get inspiration from those already written.

Whether you're looking for a poem that could fit your feelings about God, a lover, or a friend and even your Child, United World Poets may just be the site you're looking for.

Best Vacation Places: A Blog Review

Best Vacation Places
"
where you'll find the best places to go for fun and relaxation
"
Dear Reader,

Wow, Jade has done it again! I get to review a different blog from the Fabulous Diva. This time, it's a travel blog. The blog has a healthy mix of green and white. Green just makes me think of nature, perfect for nature trips or travel blogs. It makes me think of a tropical paradise. If that's the effect on me, just by looking at the header, then what more if I start to read the contents of the blog. I must say that the blog is very neat and not flashy. It fits the vacation places as more emphasis is then focused on the photos and the content.

The blog's content is a collection of international and local  for me (Philippines) destinations. I particularly enjoyed her description of places to see in Baguio. She enumerated and gave details plus it's a plus factor when she talked about how one could commute from Baguio.

There are lot of places to go and people to see. So, if you ever want to go on that vacation you so rightfully deserve, check out the places that the Best Vacation Places has reviewed. I guarantee you will have so much fun. From Nevada, to Baguio to places I've never heard of like Yogyakarta. Best Vacation Places is the place to be, to get that information you badly need.
